bioSinging solos in church when he was just 10, and picking up guitar and piano by 12, twenty year old singer/songwriter Elliot Collett began the journey he was destined for.  He backs up his natural talent with a degree in audio engineering.  With a love for vintage guitars, he brings on stage with him a 67 Gibson Southern Jumbo and 68 Gibson Barney Kessel.  Backed by his band “the Articles,” he creates a sound that is something to grab on to.

Elliot enjoys writing in addition to performing. “I love the connection with the audience the most when they hear something I wrote and it touches them in a special way,” he says. “It means a lot to me to get that reaction. It’s a great feeling to know that you are earning fans one show at a time.”

Alt-country/Americana/Alt-rock best defines this young artist born in Knoxville, TN, but raised in the small town of Wellington, KY.  Elliot began writing at the age of 15, and performing on stage soon after.  He released his debut album “Undecided” when he was 18, which contains 12 original songs.

In July 2011, Elliot & the Articles hit their home studio and began recording.  The sophomore album entitled “Bones”, which was produced by Elliot, was born.  The EP is comprised of 5 originals, and released in September 2011.

Running his own recording studio, working as a sound engineer, producing, and co-writing have all become part of his daily routine.  “I feel blessed to be able to share my God given talent with others,” says Elliot.
With a unique style of his own, Elliot and the Articles are bringing new eclectic sounds to the music world.
